General Conditions of Participation and Privacy Policy

Section 1 Scope and description of the Event
(1) The STUBAI WILD RIDE (hereinafter referred to as ‘Event’) will take place on 18 April 2026 in
the Stubai Glacier ski area. It is organised and carried out by the Stubai Tirol KöR tourism association
(hereinafter referred to as ‘Organiser’).
(2) The Event is a ski race in the form of a giant slalom, whose special feature and challenge lies in
the length of the race and the metres of altitude to be overcome. The race is adapted to the
topographical conditions and takes place outside of normal association rules such as those of the
Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) or the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
(3) The Event has the following general conditions:
- Race start: 18.04.2026, approx. 9:00 a.m.
- Start location: Stubai Glacier ski area, Wildspitz mountain Station Approx. 6.2
- Route: kilometers
- Number of goals: Approx. 150
- Height difference: Approx. 920 meters in altitude
- Journey time: Approx. 4-10 minutes
- Starting order: Mixed start women and men
 Start group 1 = 50 starters based on the Alpine Skiing World
Cup Start List, medal at World Championships / Olympics, or a
season in the top 3 of the overall or discipline World Cup
Start group 2 = All registrations up to and including March 18
Start group 3 = All registrations from March 19 onward
- Start interval: 30 seconds, timed via lift approach with the Wildspitzbahn and “flying START”
- Mode: Individual start with interval (overtaking without obstruction is permitted, provided other participants are not hindered, endangered, or harassed)
- Gate fault: Time penalty of 15 seconds per missed gate
(4) When registering for the Event, each participant must confirm with his/her signature that he/she
has read these conditions of participation in full and thus accepts them as an integral part of the
contract for the Event.

(1) Eligible to start are all skiers who meet the health, fitness, and ski racing requirements and have reached the age of 18 (legal age). Racers from 16 years of age may start with the consent of their legal guardians according to FIS rules.
(2) Each participant bears full personal responsibility for his/her state of health and for self- assessing whether he/she fulfils the technical, physical and mental requirements necessary for participation in the Event.
(3) Before the start of the race, participants were informed about the course layout, elevation profile, and other requirements of the event. In particular, all participants are given the opportunity for one personal course inspection before the race begins.
(4) Each participant is aware that participation in the race is completely voluntary and that it is entirely up to each participant to decide on the day of the race whether to complete the race.
(5) Each participant is solely responsible for checking the suitability of the equipment required for participation (in particular skis, poles, helmet, back protectors and the like) and for the subjective assessment of his/her state of health on the day of the race.
(6) By signing these conditions of participation, each participant declares that he/she is fully aware of the inherent risks of skiing associated with participation in the Event and in particular the special risks of participating in a ski race and that he/she therefore participates in the Event in
question at his/her own risk and peril.
(7) By signing the present conditions of participation, each participant declares that he/she is fully aware of the dangers of speed and gravity. Each participant expressly declares that he/she is aware that attempting to achieve competition results strains physical abilities and that certain
movements or actions cannot always be foreseen or controlled and therefore cannot be avoided or prevented by safety precautions. Accordingly, each participant confirms that he/she is aware that participation in the Event harbours inherent risks that may endanger his/her physical integrity and, in extreme cases, even his/her life.
(8) In this context, each participant expressly confirms that he/she has been informed that the length of the race (approx. 6.2 km) and the altitude metres to be covered (approx. 920 m) with an estimated running time of approx. 4-10 minutes are associated with special physical and mental demands

(1) Registration for participation takes place without exception on the Organiser's homepage, available at www.stubai-wild-ride.com. The closing date for all registrations is Tuesday, 14 April 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. or after the maximum possible number of participants (‘Sold-Out Status’) has been reached.
(2) Each participant must pay a participation fee (entry fee) when registering. Participation in the Stubai Wild Ride is free of charge for journalists.
(3) Registration is binding for all participants. Once registration has been completed, participants will receive a corresponding confirmation, including confirmation that the participation fee has been paid. The participation fee is due in full at the time of registration.
(4) The participation fee can be paid by SEPA direct debit, PayPal or credit card.
(5) The Organiser will send a confirmation of registration after receipt of the registration and the participation fee. The Organiser expressly reserves the right to disqualify and/or exclude a participant from the Event at any time if the participant has either provided false personal data when registering, if the participant is subject to a ban by an international/national association or if there is suspicion that the participant is competing after taking unauthorised substances.
(6) The Organiser and the judges’ panel may exclude participants from the Event/terminate the contract with the participant, in particular if he/she
- violates the regulations and/or the rules and other instructions (before or during the Event)
- disrupts the Event or endangers themselves or others
- does not meet the fitness and/or skiing requirements
- does not follow the instructions of the event management, the judges’ panel or the staff
- behaves in any other way contrary to the contract or in an improper manner that justifies the immediate cancellation of the contract.
(7) If the contract is terminated by the Organiser for one of the above-mentioned reasons, the entitlement to the full participation fee remains unchanged.

(1) The distribution of race numbers will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00 at the Stubai Tirol Tourism Association (Stubaitalhaus 3 in 6167 Neustift ). Additionally, there will be another distribution on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Gamsgartenbahn valley station from 05:30 to 06:00. Outside these times, no distribution is possible. A valid photo ID and the registration confirmation must be presented when collecting the race number.
(2) The exchange or passing on of allocated start numbers between participants is prohibited and will result in the immediate disqualification of all participants involved.
(3) The race will start on 18 April 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the Wildspitz mountain station on the Stubai Glacier.
(4) The starting order will be published on the Internet at www.stubai-wild-ride.com in good time before the start of the Event.
(5) A pre-start area will be set up next to the Restaurant Jochdohle. Participants will be called in time to move from this area to the immediate start area. The pre-start area is mandatory for all participants as a gathering point before the start.
(6) All participants have the right to view the route once on the day of the Event. The start number must be worn on the body. It is noted that in order to enable a tour of the route, the Stubai Glacier lifts will start operating on 18 April 2025 for participants before the regular operating hours. Driving on the race track during the inspection will result in disqualification.
(7) Timekeeping is done via chip, which is issued at the start number distribution and must be returned after crossing the finish line. Chips that are not returned will be charged at EUR 60 per chip.
(8) The official finish is at 2:00 pm or half an hour after the start time of the last participant. All participants must have crossed the finish line and returned the chip at the finish.

(1) Helmets are compulsory without exception for participation in the race. Only helmets complying with the EN 1077 standard may be used. Attachments on helmets (e.g., cameras, lights, mounts) are prohibited. Cycling helmets, touring helmets, etc. are prohibited. A back protector is recommended.
(2) There is an absolute ban on alcohol (0.00 per mille).
(3) If the start judge recognises that a participant is impaired (alcohol, drugs, etc.) or does not have the required equipment (in particular, a helmet), the Organiser has the right not to allow the participant to start. The entry fee will not be refunded.
(4) Participants are aware that the race is conducted with start intervals and that overtaking preceding participants during the race/run is expressly permitted. (overtaking without obstruction is permitted, provided other participants are not hindered, endangered, or harassed)
(5) Each improper passage of a section of the course or gate results in the addition of 15 penalty seconds per offence to the finish time.
(6) If you fall, you may continue skiing. However, the finish must be passed with both skis.
(7) The piste conditions depend on the weather and may change during the course of the Event.
(8) The marshals are equipped with yellow and red flags. When the yellow flags are waved, the participants must ride on sight and adjust their speed to any obstacles or hazards that appear.
(9) When the red flags are waved, the race must be cancelled immediately! At the same time, a start stop is carried out on site. In this case, a restart is possible unless there is a permanent obstacle to the continuation of the race.
(10) All participants have been expressly informed that the use of drones for video recordings is prohibited without exception for safety reasons and declare that they will also pass this prohibition on to third parties (family, acquaintances of the participants).
(11) The results are available live (unofficial results) online at https://my.raceresult.com/365895/. Protests must be submitted within 30 minutes after the last racer at the race office in the finish area, along with a protest fee of EUR 100. The protest must include a precise statement of the reason and evidence (witness / gate judge / video).
(12) Participants must be present at the prize-giving ceremony in order to receive their prizes. The start lists and results lists are also available at www.stubai-wild-ride.com.
(13) It is strictly forbidden for participants who have already reached the finish line to enter the course.
(14) When leaving the course due to withdrawal, participants must report to the next course marshal and hand in their timing chip for control purposes. They may not continue on the race course for the remainder of the event.

(1) In the Event of cancellation of the Event or individual sections of the route due to force majeure (in particular due to weather conditions), non-participation or abandonment of the race for reasons for which the Organiser is not responsible, the participant is not entitled to a refund/proportional reimbursement of the participation fee or to compensation for other damages or frustrated expenses such as travel or accommodation costs, etc. This also applies if participation is not possible for health reasons (e.g. illness, injury).
(2) If a registered participant does not turn up at the start or declares his/her nonparticipation beforehand, there is no entitlement to a refund of the participation fee.

(1) By registering for the Event, the participant declares bindingly and without further examination by the Organiser that all objective (in particular, legal) requirements have been met. Age, equipment) and subjective (in particular skiing and physical ability) requirements for participation in the Event and that each participant is aware of the Event and its regulations.
(2) Claims for damages or liability against the Organiser in connection with the non-existence of the subjective and objective participation requirements are excluded in any case.
(3) With his/her signature, the participant declares that he/she is aware of the dangers inherent in practising the sport and participating in a ski race and that he/she acts at his/her own risk and peril in this respect. The Organiser expressly recommends that participants take out adequate accident insurance to cover the consequences of any accidents before taking part in the Event. Any potential rescue or emergency costs must be borne by the participant or their insurance.
(4) The Organiser assumes no liability for health risks of the participant in connection with participation in the Event. At the start of the Event, the participant bindingly declares that there are no health concerns against his/her participation and that his/her fitness level meets the
requirements of such an alpine ski race.
(5) The Organiser accepts no liability for valuables, clothing and equipment.
(6) In addition to taking out accident insurance, participants are strongly recommended to take out private international health insurance that also covers helicopter missions and repatriation transport.

(1) All claims of the participant in connection with this Event expire one year after the contractually agreed end of the Event.
(2) The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from the Event is the competent court in 6020 Innsbruck. The entire legal and contractual relationship shall be governed exclusively by Austrian substantive and formal law.
(3) For better readability, these conditions of participation have been formulated in the masculine form only. All information refers equally to members of each gender.

(1) By registering for the Event, the participant expressly agrees that all personal data provided by the participant (name, date of birth, e-mail address), as well as the time result, the ranking and the overall result may be stored and passed on or processed to third parties for publication on the Internet.
(2) The participant expressly consents to data processing for the purpose of organising and running the Event. In addition to all personal data, this also applies in particular to the data required for payment processing.
(3) The participant gives his/her express consent for photographs, videos, interviews etc. to be taken in the course of the Event in question and also gives his/her express consent for the photographs, film recordings and interviews taken in connection with his/her participation in the Event to be distributed and published on radio, television, print media, books, social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), on the Event website, on YouTube and in all other digital and analogue channels without entitlement to remuneration. In addition, each participant expressly agrees to the forwarding of personal data for the purpose of sending photos of the participant, which will be produced by a company commissioned by
the Organiser.
(4) The participant has received the following information in accordance with Art. 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in connection with the processing of their personal data:
a) The Organiser (TVB Stubai Tirol KöR) is the data controller within the scope of the GDPR. b) For data protection issues, the TVB can be contacted at the address Stubaitalhaus 3 in 6167 Neustift im Stubaital or by e-mail to info@stubai.at.
c) The data is processed for the purpose of organising, implementing, handling and marketing the Event.
d) In particular, the following categories of participant data are processed: General personal data, date of birth, address, bank details for payment processing, contact details.
e) The processing of the data takes place primarily for the duration of the competition, whereby all participants have been expressly informed and agree that the publication of the data on the person of the participant, the ranking, etc. will remain published on the Internet even after the end of the Event. Express reference is also made in this context to the right of objection (cf. e below).
f) Each participant has the following rights under Art. 15 to 22 GDPR if the legal requirements are met: Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability. You also have the right to object to the processing. The TVB would like to be contacted in this regard.
g) In addition, every participant has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR if they believe that the processing of their personal data by a controller is not lawful.
