Sunrise Cruises in August
Every Saturday morning in August
Experience this fascinating natural spectacle every Saturday morning in August 2026 from the "StubaiBlick" observation deck. The event will be accompanied by music from alphorn players, and you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a mountain breakfast at the Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch and the Sennjochhütte.
Due to weather conditions, the sunrise cruises take place every Saturday in August:

On these days, the Kreuzjochbahn runs continuously until the end of service at 5:00 p.m.

You can purchase tickets for the sunrise ride directly on site at our ticket office at the valley station. The following rates apply to the sunrise rides:

The Tirol Leisure Ticket, as well as the Stubai Card and Stubai Super Card, are valid (direct access through the turnstile).
No “up-only” tickets available.

Experience the sunrise amidst the Stubai Alps and take a seat with us while it’s happening—an unforgettable start to the day! As soon as the sun rises above the peaks, we’ll open our lavish breakfast buffet. No reservation is necessary—there’s a seat for everyone here.

How about a leisurely breakfast after sunrise? Enjoy a generous breakfast buffet at the Sennjoch Hut (about a 30-minute walk from the Kreuzjoch mountain station). Wolfgang and his team look forward to welcoming you for breakfast!
