The Stubai Ultratrail 2026 – powered by SCOTT, which took place on the weekend of 3 and 4 July under the motto "Epic Trails. Epic Valley.", impressively demonstrated why the Stubai Valley is one of the leading trail running destinations in the Alps. With over 1,800 runners from 30 nations, the high-alpine trail running event set a new record number of participants. There was a festival atmosphere on five different distances, all of which ended in the atmospheric centre of Neustift - including the premiere of the new STUBAI 100 and a separate children's run.
In the best weather conditions and perfect track conditions in particular the new STUBAI 100 with 101 kilometres and 5,800 metres of altitude difference provided top sporting performances and emotional moments.
Christian Stern from Stubaicrowned himself the premiere winner of the STUBAI 100 with a dream run in under 12 hours - and thus impressively continued his series of successes on home soil. Stern, multiple winner of the Stubai Ultratrail and on the Stubai High Trail (Höhenweg) last year, made perfect use of his knowledge of the route: Just under the magic 12-hour mark (11:58:59 h), he crossed the finish line in the centre of Neustift as the outstanding winner. "To win the STUBAI 100 after winning the Höhenweg last year – and here at home in the Stubai Valley – is simply incredible. The course, the atmosphere, the fans: That was something very special today," Christian Stern said at the finish line. Second and third place went to Johann Obermüller and Tobias Fritz, both from Germany.
In the women' s race, Manuela Kastner from Germany was the first to enter the list of winners on the 100-kilometre distance. She crossed the finish line in a time of 16:41:35 hours ahead of her two compatriots Sandra Stummer and Elisabeth Gamperl. "It was a wonderful, hard run and I'm really happy to have won - especially because I was able to run so well despite the short training," said the beaming winner at the finish.
In addition to the STUBAI 100, four other competitions were held this weekend, which once again presented the Stubai Valley as a real trail running Mecca. At the STUBAI ULTRA over 57 kilometers and 4,200 meters of altitude, the two South Tyroleans Claudia Sieder and Philipp Ausserhofer took the victories. On the 31-kilometre STUBAI CLASSIC with 2,300 metres of altitude, Edith Zell (AUT) and Daniele Roccon (ITA) triumphed. The STUBAI EXPRESS over 23 kilometers and 1,240 meters of altitude became the stage for the Germans Nadine Hübel and Nils Bergmann.
The day before, the STUBAI SUNNENSEIT'N TRAIL over 14 kilometres and 700 meters of altitude provided fast times and exciting battles for positions: Maren Hamm from Germany and Samuel Demetz from Bolzano (ITA) won here and thrilled the audience along the route.
A special highlight this year was the KIDS TRAIL, which was held for the first time. Numerous young runners from the age of 6 got a taste of trail running and crossed the finish line to the enthusiastic applause of parents, spectators and professionals. The new competition provided emotional moments and underlined the family character of the event - many children ran hand in hand with their role models and proudly picked up their first medal in the finish area.
The conditions in the Stubai Valley could hardly have been better for the participants and the organizing team: A dry night, pleasant temperatures and lots of sunshine on race day provided optimal conditions on all distances. The excellent organization was praised by athletes and spectators alike and contributed significantly to the success of the event.
The chairman of the Stubai Tirol Tourism Association, Adrian Siller, was also enthusiastic about the development of the event: "With the introduction of the STUBAI 100, the new record number of participants with over 1,800 runners from 30 nations and the first children's run, we have consistently developed the Stubai Ultratrail. The response of the runners and the unique atmosphere in the valley confirm us in this path. The Stubai Valley is and remains an attraction for trail runners from all over the world - from professionals to young talent."

We use the Google Tag Manager service on our website.
Tag Manager is a service that allows us to manage website tags via an interface. This enables us to integrate code snippets such as tracking codes or conversion pixels into websites without having to modify the source code. The data is only forwarded by Tag Manager and is neither collected nor stored. Tag Manager itself is a cookie-free domain and does not process any personal data, as it is used purely to manage other services in our online offering.
When Google Tag Manager is launched, the browser establishes a connection to Google's servers. These are mainly located in the USA. This allows Google to know that our website has been accessed via a user's IP address.
Tag Manager ensures the resolution of other tags, which may in turn collect data. However, Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out at domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Tag Manager.

We use the YouTube service on our website to embed external videos.
We have activated the extended data protection mode on YouTube. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch a video. However, the extended data protection mode does not exclude the transfer of data to YouTube partners.
As soon as a YouTube video is started on our website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This allows YouTube to know which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. This can be prevented by logging out of your account.
Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube may store various cookies on your device or use comparable technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). YouTube also uses local storage on your device. In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud attempts.

On our website, we use the functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics to analyse usage behaviour and optimise our website. The reports provided by Google are used to analyse the performance of our website and to measure the success of possible campaigns via our website.
Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of the use of our website.
Information about the use of the website, such as browser type/version, operating system used, the previously visited page, host name of the accessing computer (IP address), and time of the server request, is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there. We have concluded a contract with Google for this purpose.
On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of our website, to compile reports on the activities within our website and to provide us with further services related to the use of our website and the Internet. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser will not be merged with other Google data.
We only use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled by default. This means that the IP address of a user within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area is truncated by Google. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by a user's browser as part of Google Analytics is not linked to other data held by Google.
During the website visit, user behaviour is recorded in the form of so-called events. These can represent the following:

This data is primarily processed by Google for its own purposes, such as profiling (without our influence).
Data relating to the use of our website is deleted immediately after the end of the retention period set by us. Google Analytics gives us a default retention period of 2 months for user and event data, with a maximum retention period of 14 months. This retention period also applies to conversion data. The following options are available for all other event data: 2 months, 14 months, 26 months (Google Analytics 360 only), 38 months (Google Analytics 360 only), 50 months (Google Analytics 360 only). We select the shortest storage period that corresponds to our intended use. You can enquire about the current retention period we have set at any time.
Data whose retention period has expired is automatically deleted once a month.

This website uses Google Ads to promote our products and services. Google Ads is Google's proprietary online advertising system.
It is important for us to know whether an interested visitor ultimately becomes our customer. Conversion tracking is used to measure this. We also want to be able to target visitors to our website again. We achieve this through remarketing (retargeting).
Google Ads is used for both conversion tracking and remarketing, i.e. we can see what happened after you clicked on one of our ads. For this service to work, cookies are used and visitors are sometimes added to remarketing lists to be targeted with specific advertising campaigns.
This is done using a pseudonymous identification number (pID), which is assigned to and received by the user's browser. This pID enables the service to recognise which advertisements have already been displayed to a user and which have been clicked on. The data is used to display advertisements across websites by enabling the user to allow Google to identify the pages they have visited.
Our goal is to use Google Ads to ensure that our website's offerings are targeted at visitors who are genuinely interested in what we have to offer. The data from conversion tracking allows us to measure the effectiveness of individual advertising measures and optimise our website for our visitors. Conversion can be measured through the use of cookies.
With the remarketing service/tag, you may see advertisements from us on other websites after visiting our website. This is done using cookies stored in your browser, which Google uses to record and evaluate your usage behaviour when visiting various websites. This allows Google to detect your previous visit to our website. According to Google, the data collected as part of remarketing is not merged with your personal data, which may be stored by Google. In particular, according to Google, pseudonymisation is used in remarketing.
The information generated is transferred by Google to a server in the USA for evaluation and stored there. Google only transfers the data to third parties on the basis of legal regulations or within the framework of order data processing. Under no circumstances will Google link a user's data with other data collected by Google.

Our website uses Google Floodlight, a tool from the Google Marketing Platform, to measure and optimise the effectiveness of our digital marketing campaigns. Floodlight enables us to track and analyse specific actions that users perform on our website, such as purchases, registrations or filling out forms.
We use the tool in Google Display & Video 360 (DV360) and Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), which are part of the Google Marketing Platform.
Google Floodlight uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your use of our website. This information includes:
This data is transferred to Google servers and stored there. Google uses this information to create reports for us and help us improve our marketing efforts.
The data collected by Google Floodlight helps us evaluate and optimise the performance of our marketing campaigns by allowing us to see which campaigns and ads trigger the desired actions on our website. This enables us to refine our marketing strategies and offer you more relevant and useful content.
The information generated is transmitted by Google to a server in the United States for evaluation and stored there. Google may also use this data to improve its own services. Our website uses the Meta Pixel service from the social network Facebook for the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offering.
Meta Pixel enables Meta to identify visitors to our website as a target group for the display of personalised advertisements. Accordingly, we use Meta Pixel to display the advertisements we place only to those users (retargeting/remarketing) who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products, which are determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Meta (so-called ‘custom audiences’). With the help of Meta pixels, we also want to ensure that our Meta ads correspond to the potential interests of users and do not appear intrusive.
Furthermore, with the help of Meta pixels, we can track the effectiveness of Meta advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Meta advertisement (so-called ‘conversion’).
Your actions are stored in one or more cookies. These cookies enable Meta to match your user data (such as IP address, user ID) with the data in your Facebook account, or they can also be used by Meta for its own advertising purposes. This Facebook conversion tracking also allows Facebook and its partners to show you advertisements both on and off Facebook.
The data collected is anonymous and cannot be viewed by us and is only used for advertising purposes. You can prevent the link to your Facebook account by logging out before taking any action.
To set which types of advertisements are displayed to you within Facebook, you can visit the page set up by Meta and follow the instructions on the settings for usage-based advertising: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads
The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
Facebook Conversions API (CAPI)
In addition to Meta Pixel, we use Meta Conversions API (CAPI), a server-side tracking tool from Meta.
CAPI enables us to transmit event data (e.g. completed purchases, form submissions, registrations) directly from our server to Meta. This is done independently of cookies and browsers and improves the reliability of tracking, especially when users have disabled cookies or use tracking blockers.
The aim of CAPI is also to optimise our advertising campaigns, measure success more accurately (conversion tracking) and create target groups (custom audiences).
